Led a group developing « information warfare » knowledge base, including offensive and defensive tactics. Attention is focused on potential malevolent action from terrorist (read eco-terrorists, activists and or organized crime, and or military). Measures and countermeasures are studied and a proper risk assessment developed on these threats. The possible use of synthetic environments for training of personnel is explored. A strategy and tactics for sustainable defenses are put forward, based on the results of the risk analysis and the client overall risk profile. These studies are of critical importance for large industries, suppliers, natural resources, oil and gas, and governmental agencies.

Direction de la Protection Civile, Algeria:

Supported the Direction de la Protection Civile Algérienne (Direction of Algerian Civil Protection) to reorganize and enhance from an operational and security point of view their crisis communication protocols and equipments.

Civil protection, Italy:

Development of communication protocols and related wireless telecom system (data/voice), integrated with GIS and automated location of men and vehicles. Development of operational guidelines and training.

Provincial government, Vercelli, Italy:

Development of a multi hazard risk assessment tool for land use and planning. GIS based, comprehensive, innovative and unique methodology developed for this government will offer integrated risk management solutions world-wide to interested governments.

Rural, industrial, residential and urban environments can be combined in a multi hazard regional, provincial, state, country wide risk map.
